Metallurgy is the science of dealing with and finding out all about metals. The subject is divided into three heads: 1) Precious metals: gold, silver, platinum; 2) Non-ferrous metals: brasses, bronzes; 3)Ferrous metals: iron and steel. The foundry and the forge both deal with 2 and 3. The Scriptures clearly indicate the same classification.
Biblical metallurgy goes back to very early times.
